Preview: Saturday Sport

The opening Saturday of the Lent Term will see matches for five sports with several adjustments to the schedule due to the recent inclement weather.

Here is a look ahead at the latest set of games, with a range of opposition both at home and away.

The boys’ U16A and U18A will both be in action throughout the day as they take part in the West of England Schools’ Championships. The team lists can be viewed now on SOCs here.


There is just one fixture being played tomorrow as the 1st XI host RGS Guildford at 2.00pm, with the match to be played at Foundation Park, the home of the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation. A big training day for the boys’ hockey across the age-groups, with just one match home game scheduled for the 2nd XI as they host Downside with a 3.00pm start on the astro.

The Lent programme will begin with a special experience for the U14s and U15s as they head off to Surrey Sports Park this Saturday to train with England U20s.

UPDATE (4.00pm) – Please note all home netball fixtures have been cancelled due to the recent heavy rainfall.

The 1st VII, 2nd VII and all U14 sides are away at Dauntsey’s, with the U16A travelling to take on Redmaids’ High School.

Useful Information

Parking: Parents and visitors are invited to park either at the Water Meadows car park or up field. The Hyde Lane car park will also be in operation. Car parking marshals will be on hand to answer any questions and direct visitors to the respective pitch locations.

Refreshments: Match teas will be served for all teams and post-match hospitality for parents and visitors in Norwood Hall after each fixture.
