100 Objects: Print and Paper

Wednesday 21st February 2024

We are delighted to share the latest instalment of Marlborough in a 100 Objects which focuses on some of our remarkable treasures in print and paper.

Marlborough has produced many great writers, and the College is blessed with libraries containing over 40,000 volumes, including a very fine collection of 3,000 rare books from across seven centuries. The College’s growing art collection has many fine works on paper, and the archives contain a remarkable collection of historic documents, letters and plans.

The items selected for review include humorous and satirical pupil publications and irreplaceable volumes such as our Books of Remembrance and original Royal Charter.

With this latest instalment, our Marlborough in a Hundred Objects series is now up to 70 objects.

We hope you enjoy reading about them and all the other objects reviewed to date on our Marlborough in a Hundred Objects home page.
