UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge

Monday 4th March 2024

The results are in for the UK Maths Trust Intermediate Mathematical Challenge 2024 – with the Shell cohort demonstrating some serious mathematical talent as they recorded the highest Marlborough scores for many years.

Pupils undertook a 60 minute, 25 question multiple choice Challenge that encourages mathematical reasoning and requires precision of thought.

Congratulations to Seb S and Kevin W who scored the highest and second highest scores in their year. They will go on to sit the Cayley Olympiad later this month. Further congratulations for Arthur D-B and William S who both achieved the highest scores in their year. They will be joining around six others in the Grey and Pink Kangaroo challenges in March.

Well done to all those who participated and my thanks go to my colleagues in the Maths Department for ensuring this event can happen each year.
