Chinese Triumph

Monday 10th June 2024

In an exceptional achievement, the entire Lower Sixth Chinese class has triumphed in the HSK 3 exam.

Also known as the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, the HSK exam is an internationally recognised proficiency test which evaluates candidates on listening, reading, and writing skills, serving as a benchmark for intermediate language proficiency. Equivalent to B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), achieving this level demonstrates major progress in Chinese language acquisition.

The success of the entire Lower Sixth cohort highlights our pupils’ strong grasp of the Chinese language and their dedication. Notably, Kate P achieved a score of 100% in the reading section.

Congratulations to this cohort for their outstanding performance, marking a proud moment for our Modern Languages Department.
