In the midst of a packed Michaelmas Term, somehow our Music Scholars manage to squeeze in the annual visit to the Calne Music Festival.
Invariably the programme is ensemble based with a sprinkling of solos, some of which is in preparation for the upcoming gala recital at the Royal Academy of Music.
This year was no exception as the enthusiastic audience of Marden House witnessed some fine string duos and quartets, alongside a woodwind trio, a piano duet and a vocal trio to round things off. With soloists chiming in with some equally special contributions, this programme had a splash of everything – from Bach to Albéniz via a tango from Moulin Rouge.
Bravo to all our Music Scholars on being such outstanding ambassadors for the College and bringing such beauty and joy to our local communities.
