Marlburians continue to demonstrate their global outlook when it comes to university, with 30 (current pupils and OMs) currently applying to international universities across North America, Europe and Asia. To date, 10 pupils have received early offers to their first-choice universities, and it is a real pleasure to celebrate their success.
Before Christmas we were able to congratulate Annabel H, who gained a place at Brown University (Political Science, recruited athlete for Women’s Rugby), and Luke W, who received an offer from Loyola Marymount University on their competitive Film programme. We had a double celebration for Helena C and Amelie W, who both received offers from Boston College for Pre-Med courses. We are delighted for Antony L and Vaansh L for their offers from Babson to major in Accounting and Business with Entrepreneurship respectively. Philippe T secured a place to major in Business at Northeastern University, while Erol T has a place on the newly developed AI for Business course at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
We extend our wholehearted congratulations to these pupils and their families. The application process to the US is time-consuming and challenging, and for their efforts to be rewarded in this way is both inspiring and impressive.
Our pupils have also been successful closer to home, with offers from top universities in Europe. In the highly competitive first round of Bocconi University applications, both Matvei C and Cosimo T received offers to study Economics, with early news for Jago B, who secured his place at IE University to study Business, and Celia F, who received an offer for Communications and Digital Media.
As pupils continue to await results from, and prepare for applications to, the US, Europe, Canada and beyond, we wish them every success. It has been an especially successful (and busy!) application season, and our International Futures team continue to strive to help pupils find the right-fit university. Our pupils continue to achieve exceptionally, and we look forward to celebrating all their future successes as they embark on their exciting new journeys.
