On Sunday 22nd March, the C3 community came together to help raise funds for Oracle Head and Neck Cancer UK – the leading head and neck cancer charity in the UK. The day was to support our wonderful Wendy who works on the C3 Domestic team and lost her husband, John Neal, to Cancer recently. The Oracle’s vision is improve the quality of life and outcomes for head and neck cancer patients throughout the UK, addressing the current crisis in head and neck cancer care. The charity seeks raise greater awareness, knowledge and understanding of Head and Neck cancers such as the one which John sadly suffered from, and C3 are raising funds to support this important research.
It was lovely to gather the C3 community together for a BBQ lunch on the patio with entertainment. These included some magic, the enthusiastic C3 Quintet, stand-up comedy of sorts! and C3’s House Shout entry – perhaps a little less polished then it was in October, but no less spirited! Lunch was followed by our annual 6-a-side footy tournament on the back fields where some hard-fought matches were contested between year groups, staff and parents.
