On the 10th of March, Marlborough was delighted to welcome pupils from Thorngrove School, who were taught various Debating skills by our Debating Team here at the College. This included explaining the concepts of tells, to know when a person is lying, alongside explaining persuasive devices such as list of threes. We also looked at body language, too, so when we are standing at the podium we can emit the most confident persona!
After the event, we were delighted to announce two of our helpers for the day, Gilbert B and Sebastian G as the New Heads of Debating for 2026-2027. Congratulations to them both.
