School Triathlon

Tuesday 19th May 2026

On Sunday 17 May, 1,260 children from 36 local schools took part in the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon held on our campus, raising more than £131,300 for Restless Development and a range of other charities chosen by participating schools.

The event, part of the UK’s largest fundraising triathlon series for children, saw pupils team up to swim, cycle and run in support of causes close to their hearts. The funds raised will help support young people both locally and globally to create positive change in their communities.

The Schools Triathlon is organised by global youth charity Restless Development, which supports young leaders around the world to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing their communities. Last year alone, the charity worked with more than 288,000 young people globally. Across the 2026 Schools Triathlon series, over 12,000 pupils are expected to take part, with the initiative aiming to raise more than £1.4 million for charity.

Marlborough College has been a proud supporter of the Schools Triathlon since the very beginning and has hosted an event annually since 2017. The event has become a true community occasion, bringing together more than 2,000 attendees for a festival-feel day centred around sport, fundraising and community spirit.

The event wouldn’t have been possible without all the amazing volunteers. Lower Sixth pupils, members of staff and lifeguard staff kindly gave up their Sunday to help the event run smoothly. Harris H was the official College photographer and you can see his excellent photos in the gallery below.

It was a truly uplifting and feel-good event and we are looking forward to hosting again next year.
