GCSE Results

Thursday 20th August 2026

We are delighted with the impressive results achieved by our Hundred in their GCSEs. The outcomes for this year’s cohort are testament to their ambition and determination, combined with the support of colleagues across the College community, from their expert subject teachers in the classroom to the outstanding staff supporting them in our houses.

25% of entries were awarded Grade 9, 50% were at Grade 8 or above (equivalent to A*) and 74% were at 9, 8 or 7 (equivalent to A*A).

Matilda B achieved a perfect set of 9s in all ten of her GCSEs. Atia G, Artem M and Peter W each secured ten 9s from eleven GCSEs. Isabella F and Gonggaruna P each gained nine Grade 9s. Alongside these impressive profiles, 40 pupils achieved Grade 9s in at least half of their GCSE entries, while 85 pupils (47% of the cohort) secured Grades 9 or 8 in more than half of their results. More strikingly still, 136 pupils (75% of the year group) achieved Grades 9 to 7 in the majority of their examinations, underlining both the strength and depth of achievement across the cohort.

We are always mindful that all of this is achieved in the context of the busy and stretching life of our school. These important academic victories are achieved by pupils whose talents in the classroom show only part of the richness they bring to – and draw from – our unique community. They have exciting weeks and days ahead as they join our vibrant Sixth Form, having already chosen from the unparalleled range of A level and enrichment courses on offer.

The Master, Louise Moelwyn-Hughes, commented: ‘I am thrilled by these results and pass on my warmest congratulations to each and every pupil. They have embodied the Marlburian values of hard work, creativity and drive whilst also supporting each other with kindness and empathy. They fully deserve their individual and shared success and I am excited to see what this inspiring group of young people will bring to the Sixth Form’.
