Academic Partnerships
Academic partnerships are a key part of our outreach programme and bring together pupils with a range of experiences and backgrounds.
Our partnership with Swindon Academy began in 2004 and continues to provide rewarding and beneficial opportunities for all involved. The Grammar Stream has been an integral part of this partnership and supports the educational experiences of pupils through a programme which runs from Year 7 to Year 13.
This programme includes fortnightly visits from Year 7 and 8 to the College who take part in a wide range of lessons, alongside an annual calendar of enrichment and extension activities. Pupils also take part in residential study sessions here and receive subject mentoring. In the older year groups, they also receive guidance on university applications.
During Year 10, all pupils in the Grammar Stream will have an opportunity to apply for the Marlborough College Sixth Form Bursary.
The partnership between Marlborough College and Swindon Academy offers significant benefits, fostering academic excellence and personal growth. Pupils gain access to enriching activities which enhance their confidence, resilience, and aspirations. This collaboration bridges diverse backgrounds, encouraging mutual learning and broadening horizons for all involved.
Alongside our continued work with Swindon Academy, we are now working with the Parks Academy Trust also based in Swindon and Pewsey Vale School.
