Working with Primary Schools
We work with 18 primary schools, helping around 400 primary school children every week. Our pupils offer classroom support working with local school children in a variety of lessons including: mentoring, PE, Maths, reading and after school language clubs. The primary school pupils love seeing our pupils every week and our pupils benefit by developing their communication skills, as well as their ability to be empathetic and flexible.
I like the Marlborough boys and girls. They are easy to talk to and they always make me smile.
Forest School
We have also developed a Forest School on site at the College. Local primary school pupils attend a weekly session run by a staff member and a group of pupils.
The children thrive in the Forest School environment and I can see how their physical motor skills, confidence and communication skills have developed.
After-School Club
In the Summer Term, an after-school club is organised for 100 local primary school pupils who are entertained with a wide range of outdoor games and activities. This is a hugely popular activity and is tremendous fun for all.
