George Lane
George was educated at Dean Close School, Cheltenham, and went to Exeter University where he was awarded a First class (Honours) degree in Exercise & Sports Sciences (BSc). After a period in Canada, he taught for three years at King Edward’s School, Witley, in Surrey where he was an Assistant Housemaster and Master in Charge of Cricket.
He joined the Common Room at Marlborough in September 2006 as a PE and Mathematics beak, and was Resident House Tutor in Cotton for over six years. George has been Head of Shell since leaving Cotton in September 2014.
George is heavily involved in the co-curricular programme at the College, coaching in all three major boys’ games. He is passionate about all sport, particularly cricket and golf. Married to Joss, they have two young children.









C3 Boarding House
Key Facts
C3 is a boys’ house in a modern building next to the water meadows, adjacent to the two trout lakes. Behind the building is a large grass playing field bounded by the River Kennet. Despite its rural location, C3 is just a two-minute walk from all the facilities of Court. C3 shares a communal area with Mill Mead where boys and girls can socialise.

Peter O'Sullivan
Assistant Housemaster
Peter joined the College in 2001 as an Economics and Business beak. After three years as a tutor in C2, he joined Summerfield as RHT until 2007. He returned to the role, with C3 in 2021. Peter is Master in Charge of Swimming and Water Polo.

Eula Gibbs
Dame
Eula joined Marlborough as Dame of Barton Hill in 2015 and become Dame in C3 and Mill Mead in 2017. She manages the domestic team and helps to provide a warm and friendly environment for the pupils in her care.
