After gaining a degree in History of Art and Anthropology at Oxford Brookes and a Personal Assistant’s Diploma, Amanda began work with a company who import specialist recorded music. A year in Toronto, Canada, followed, where Amanda worked in a variety of secretarial roles, principally with the provincial government. On her return to the UK, family life began and Amanda was also involved in the running of a boarding house at Marlborough. After a number of years at home, she was employed by Age UK, co-ordinating a team of volunteers across north Wiltshire, and most recently has been working in the Admissions Department at the College.
Amanda comes from a musical family and learned the piano and cello. Her musical interests currently focus on singing and listening to live music. She is married to Andrew, an organist, with one son reading for a Music degree and another whose interest is music technology.
