Amanda read French and Italian at Oxford University. She then studied History of Art at the Courtauld Institute and worked as an event organiser in Rome before spending five years in the travel industry. She has also worked in advertising and as a translator.
She joined Marlborough in 2004 as a French and Spanish teacher and now teaches French, Italian and History of Art. Amanda was Head of Oxbridge for seven years and was also Head of Academic Scholars before becoming Head of Modern Languages in 2020.
She has three sons, two of whom are currently at the College.
