Bill Nicholas

Bill was educated at Loretto School, Musselburgh, before completing his degree in Materials Science and subsequent PGCE at Bath University. He started his career in teaching at Sir Thomas Rich’s Grammar School in Gloucester, during which time he represented Bath and Gloucester rugby clubs, before being appointed as a Chemistry beak at Marlborough in 1998. 

Bill was Resident House Tutor in Turner House for seven years and then Housemaster of Summerfield for a further nine. He was Master in Charge of Rugby for four years before moving into Summerfield, and coached a number of other sports as well as being involved with the CCF. More recently, he completed a Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching at Oxford University. He was appointed Second Master in 2015.
