Chris graduated from Lancaster University with an MPhys in Physics. He went on to spend a year as a nuclear safety consultant in Kendal, before realising that his real passion lay in education.
Chris completed his PGCE at Lancaster University before taking up a teaching role at Kirkham Grammar School in Lancashire, where he held a number of positions including Assistant Safety Officer and Housemaster of Preston House for three years. While at Kirkham, Chris coached archery and climbing and was a keen member of the swing band.
Chris joined Marlborough College as Head of Physics in 2014 and founded the annual Sixth Form trip to the Large Hadron Collider in Cern. He is a tutor at C1, enjoys coaching the school fencing club and leading in Outdoor Activities. In his free time, Chris likes to run and cycle to keep fit, and is learning to play the piano.
