David graduated in 2002 with a BA in Theatre Directing from Rose Bruford, London, and Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris. He completed an MFA in Directing and Intercultural Performance Studies at University College London.
As a freelance theatre director, David has worked for a wide range of companies both in the UK and Europe, including The National Theatre Studio, The Manchester Library Theatre, Theatre Clwyd and The BAC. He is a founding member of Neutral Space, a collective of theatre practitioners that research and promote intercultural practice in English theatre.
David joined Marlborough College in 2008 and enjoys directing performance projects across the College as well as teaching Drama at GCSE and A level.
