Gareth became Housemaster of C2 in 2012. He attended Methodist College, Belfast, before reading Theology and Religious Studies at Robinson College, Cambridge, where he gained three Blues for hockey and was a Choral Scholar.
He joined Marlborough in 1998 as a teacher of Religious Studies. He was RHT in Preshute and Master in Charge of Boys’ Hockey, and has coached athletics and sang in the Choir. He was in charge of children’s activities at the College Summer School for seven years. He moved to St Edward’s, Oxford, in 2007 as Head of Religious Studies and RHT of a boys’ boarding house, but returned to Marlborough in 2010 as Head of Philosophy and Religious Studies.
Gareth enjoys running, choral music, American sports and the poetry of TS Eliot. He is married to Emma, a triple hockey Blue from Cambridge and a physiotherapist. They have two young children.
