Jo studied English with Archaeology and Anthropology at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University. Following four years as an accountant in London, Jo commissioned into the RAF, travelling extensively and competing for the Service in Athletics.
Jo left the RAF to start a family and her marriage to an Army Officer has resulted in a nomadic lifestyle with frequent job changes. These have included publishing in the academic division of the Oxford University Press, teaching German to soldiers’ dependents whilst based in Germany and teaching English to soldiers at Army Education Centres. This latter role has led to a specialisation in dyslexia and specific learning difficulties.
Jo joined Marlborough College in 2013. She is a tutor in Cotton House, coaches netball, runs Wattbike classes and is an Officer in the CCF.
