Graduate Music Assistant

Katie Hevingham

Originally from Devon, Katie received a First Class Honours degree in Music and Mathematics from Birmingham University in 2020, where she split her academic time between the two subjects. This included flute performance, musical analysis, mathematical statistics and finance modules.

However, her time was mostly filled with her co-curricular activities at university, playing flute in the Philharmonic Orchestra, conducting the Saxophone Choir and singing in the acclaimed group UoB Voices, who sung with the CBSO and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the BBC Proms Youth Choir in 2019.

Katie acted as Social Secretary for the University’s Music Society, ran the social media for the 2019 Birmingham International Piano Festival and worked in the concerts team at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. Whilst at university, she was involved in the running of various concerts and events, such as organising the annual Spring Ball and Christmas celebration. She enjoys getting involved in anything she can and loves working in administrative environments.

Katie is extremely excited to be working at Marlborough College alongside such distinguished staff and aims to continue developing a wide range of skills in order to fulfil her passion of community music-making.
