Lara studied French, English and Psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, and later completed a PGCE and a Master’s degree in French literature. She has spent the majority of her teaching career in South Africa and most recently headed up the French Department at Hilton College in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. She was actively involved in DELF examining and co-managed the DELF examination centre in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
Lara joined Marlborough College in January of 2024 as Head of French. She is also involved on the sports field and is a tutor in Mill Mead.
Outside of College life, Lara enjoys travelling, reading and running.
