Rob has been Chief Executive Officer of the Berkeley Group since 2009. Berkeley builds homes and neighbourhoods across London, Birmingham and the south of England and is the UK’s leading brownfield regeneration specialist. As CEO, Rob has overseen an industry-leading sustainability strategy, including groundbreaking climate action, nature recovery and social value programmes which continue to set the benchmark in terms of performance and future ambition.
Rob has prioritised investment in digital skills and technologies and modern methods of construction; including the development of Berkeley Modular’s cutting edge precision manufactured housing solution.
Rob founded the Berkeley Foundation in 2011; an independent charity which works in close partnership with the Berkeley Group to maximise its positive social impacts.
He has been a trustee of national homelessness charity Crisis since 2020 and serves on the governing body of both Aston University (since 2015) and Marlborough College (since 2021).
He contributes to the Bank of England’s Real Estate Forum and to the public debate around housing delivery, brownfield regeneration, sustainability, placemaking and community well-being.
Rob joined the Council in May 2021.
