French - Peter Morley-Fletcher

Head of Department

Peter graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge in 2004 with a First in Modern and Medieval Languages and he has been teaching French and Italian at Marlborough since 2007. Studying languages allowed him to combine his passions for literature, film and travel, interests which continue to be reflected in his teaching and in setting up the Vauban immersion exchange for elite linguists in the Lower Sixth.

After university, Peter spent two years working for a church in South West London, and also led a gap year team to the Gambia, West Africa, supporting local schools. At Marlborough, he coaches rugby and tennis, runs Christian Forum, and is a tutor in Littlefield.

Peter is married to Emily, who is a tutor in Elmhurst, and their two young daughters like to join them in pursuing their love of foreign travel, especially in France and Italy.
