Mark arrived at Marlborough to teach Physics and Design Technology in 1995. For eleven years he was a resident house tutor in a mixed House.

He has run the College’s community service programme, served with the CCF and has organised two quinquennial whole school Charity Walks, the latest in 2018.
Mark has also been Head of Shell, supporting the first year (Year 9) pupils. Mark is a qualified summer mountain leader and enjoys hill walking and running. He has been involved with the College’s overseas linking programme and visited Waterford Kahmlaba in Swaziland in 2011.

Mark is married to Julie, a Community Public Health Nurse. She tutored in Littlefield, a mixed out-College House, for eleven years and now tutors in Cotton. Julie also has responsibility for the Artemis PSHE programme in Cotton. Mark and Julie have three children: Ben, Becky and Amy who have all attended Marlborough College.

Ben graduated from Aberdeen Medical School and is working as a Junior Doctor in Glasgow. Becky completed an MEd course at Winchester University and is working as a Primary School teacher. Amy has completed two years reading Chemistry and Management at Bath University and is about to start a placement year at Xerox in Uxbridge.
