Religious Studies - Dan Clark

Head of Department

Dan Clark is a graduate of the University of St Andrews, where he undertook a degree in Philosophy and Theology, with specific focus on Recent Continental Philosophy and applied ethics, both of which remain high on his reading lists today.

He started his teaching career in Warwickshire, before moving to become Head of Religion and Philosophy at Repton School in Derbyshire, where in addition to being a resident tutor, he was in charge of the timetable and the School’s charitable efforts.

Since arriving at Marlborough in 2016, he has re-discovered a love for Sartre through the Pre-U philosophy course, become Resident House Tutor in C3, is in charge of the College’s general knowledge competition and coaches the Yearlings 4th XI in cricket. In his spare time, he often indulges his passion for luxury international travel, reading biographies and watching the West Wing.
